Electrical and Electronics Engineering has evolved into an exciting high technology discipline covering a wide spectrum of engineering activities. As technology has advanced, so have the challenges facing the modern engineer. There is a gap between demand and supply of Electricity. Hence corporate sector is entering into power generation. Thus the demand for electrical engineers is expected to increase multi-fold. EEE is a subject that naturally partners with other disciplines to open whole new engineering avenues. The EEE branch aims at training the students in the field of Electrical, Electronics and computer engineering. The curriculum is so designed such that the students get sufficient knowledge in both theoretical and practical.
EEE forms the basis of all other fields .Here we will come to know the construction and working of all electrical equipments and thus all about electricity. Thus Diploma holders(EEE) can be employed in TNEB's, generating stations, electrical based industries as well as in software companies.
Course DurationThe Course for the Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering shall extend over a period of three academic years, consisting of 6 semesters and the first year is common to all engineering branches.

The College provides world- class lab facilities for each department. Laboratory are fully equipped with modern instruments to experience the research environment. The students are motivated to employ their minds in research work for their advancement. These Laboratory are adding feathers in the institute's crown.
Electrical Machines labIt is a teaching lab for electrical machines. There are provisions for studying the characteristics and testing of various types of electrical machines. AC supply is received from the Electricity Board and also from a stand by generators. DC supply is through rectifier unit. The lab is equipped with loading facilities for motors and generators and meters of different ranges. The work benches are built very safe and large enough to carry out the experiments.
Circuits and Instrumentation labIn this lab facilities are available to conduct various experiments related to Electric Circuits, measurement and instrumentation. Instrumentation experiments on various parameters related to electrical and electronics are conducted in this laboratory.
Power Electronics labIn this lab facilities are available for the students to carry out the experiments on Power Electronics and Drives. Various theoretical concepts related to power electronics are explained practically in this laboratory.
